Can CBD help with bulking or shredding?
Athletes across the country are looking for upgrades to help their training programs succeed faster. One method that is gaining traction is infusing CBD or cannabis pre-workout to help stretch the body, as well as post-workout to reduce inflammation and pain.
Kyli Rodriguez Cayro, an author and mental health educator, noticed that she started using a CBD balm before and after workouts and saw clear benefits. “My recovery time after strength training can take between 48 and 72 hours, depending on the length of the workout, the intensity and the weight of the weights I used,” sayshe explained. “However, taking CBD following my exercise program seemed to slightly shorten my recovery time.”
From relieving inflammation to supporting better sleep to more effective workouts, CBD is used by professional athletes and gyms around the world. Here are three ways athletes advocate and use cannabis and CBD in their training plans.
General fitness

Running
Runner’s world has shared that athletes were looking for CBD to improve their training.
“Already, a growing number of athletes, including many in the trail running and ultramarathon communities, are considering CBD as an important part of their training regimen.”
Amanda Brooks out Run to the finish believes that CBD can be an effective tool for runners during or after training to help the body recover. She quotes a 2016 study in arthritic rats, where CBD was found to “significantly reduce joint swelling and pain.” Brooks shared that using CBD in her pre-workout regimen allowed her body to get into a better “flow.” The Fresh Toast has that covered Power of cannabis and CBD for inflammationto.

Weightlifting
Joey Swollhimself an online body coach and bodybuilder, recently spoke to him Iron generation about how CBD and cannabis helped him not only focus better, but also reduce the pain during training.
Adam Kemp, a professional basketball player and fitness consultant, shared that each individual must decide whether marijuana is the right hack in their fitness program because every body reacts differently to the compounds. He explains,
“For example, as a bodybuilder, you are careful when it comes to diet because you need to consume the right amount of the right calories.

“If you smoke marijuana and you lack discipline when it comes to cravings (usually people eat a lot of junk food and processed sugar), it won’t do you any good.
