Breathe in Thanksgiving on White Runtz: November’s Leafly HighLight
North American weed smokers keep pushing the score for White Runtz higher and higher. At turkey dinners from LA to Miami, heads are panting hard at bags of white Runtz flowers, big and small, and cheap and fancy pre-rolls. White Runtz oil fills up cartridges and dabs from coast to coast.
It’s Leafly’s 2020 Strain of the Year, Runtz, only with increased wattage. And now White Runtz deserves our Leafly HighLight for November 2022.

Just like the classic Runtz, White Runtz comes from crossing Gelato and Zkittlez – now known as Z. Tough competition in the Runtz space confirms the strain’s success. Top breeder Compound Genetics has released an award winning White Runtz that is Gelato #33 x Z. At least three other breeders offer the strain because it has what stoners crave—candy gas terpenes and an indica-hybrid mid-afternoon effect.
Some people notice peach or vanilla notes in White Runtz, and almost everyone rates it as good. White Runtz receives an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 after 236 reviews. Fans of medicinal cannabis and recreational cannabis alike will appreciate her hybrid physical effect.
“Wow!!! My feet are so far away! Feels like my head is full of bubbly vanilla soda. I definitely recommend this strain,” said one reviewer.
“It totally feels like custard soda,” agreed another reviewer.
Some report relief from chronic pain, stress, or insomnia. Others just liked to shop.
“I’m flying through Walmart! I will definitely smoke this again!! I’ve never been this high and ready to move in my life!”
Beginner, go slow. White Runtz’s potent THC levels can make you dizzy or jittery on high.

Many breeders mean White Runtz is selling cheap. Even top-end White Runtz is under price pressure this fall. The location determines the final price. White Runtz pre-rolls are only $3 in Oregon. California eighths cost about $30. Runtz white oil costs almost three times as much in Illinois as it does in Cali. And a luxurious price range from White Runtz in Cali includes 85 grams of rosin or $22 high-end joints from KGB Reserve.

White Runtz and the family’s trophy case can snag cheap shelves. Among them, Runtz took home firsts at the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 Emerald Cup. Runtz victories also include the product spectrum: flower, live resin, BHO and live rosin. Hot damn.
White Runtz terpenes
A terp triforce by Zaza awaits. (Sasha Beck)
It’s cool to see pungent limonene leading the terpene pack for White Runtz, followed by the unflappable caryophyllene and then the floral linalool. There is a triforce of Zaza right there in 2022. Shoutout White Runtz flowers grown by Umma Sonoma, Cookies, Node Labs, Compound Genetics and many others.
More highlights this November
In some places, White Runtz isn’t available yet or is sold out. Here are three more Runtz possibilities.
Banana Runtz
If you ever make a hit strain, we guarantee someone will cross it into the all-time favorite Banana OG. Solfire Gardens slapped some ‘Nana on Runtz to brighten the tropical mound and balance the effect. Our reviewers were aroused, uplifted, and tingled by this hybrid. There’s always money at Banana Runtz.
Pink Runtz
(Sascha Beck)
The Runtz hype invites serious forgeries. So it’s poetic that a team called Copycat Genetix is at the forefront with their Pink Runtz – supposedly a Pink Panties female pollinated by a reverse Runtz. Pink Panties helped make the GSC family of strains #1. Rocking a pink hue, Pink Runtz tastes fruity and sweet with snickering hybrid effects.
Rosa Certz
(Sascha Beck)
When you get bored of the Runtz life, expand your taste buds towards the mints with Pink Certz. The Menthol x Grape Gas by Compound keeps taking home trophies. Pink Certz has a minty, grape-like, fuel flavor, a hybrid chill effect, and a swaying following.
And this time it’s a rap on Runtz. Dive even deeper into the Runtz craze here. And a nice holiday.
