Biden’s cannabis pardon doesn’t help anyone – Cannabis | weed | marijuana
No one is currently incarcerated in a federal prison for simple possession of cannabis.
The White House has given the figure of 6,500 people who will benefit from this pardon. But no one is in federal prison for simple hash possession.
Biden’s cannabis pardon doesn’t help anyone. I was under the impression that this pardon would erase the personnel file and allow people with cannabis on their file to get a job or hold office. What else does forgiveness mean?
It turns out not.
Biden’s pardon does not erase records or release people from prison. Biden’s cannabis pardon doesn’t help anyone. It’s just political posturing for the midterms.
But surely Biden’s cannabis pardon has to help someone?
It can be argued that Biden’s cannabis pardon is a positive step towards cannabis decriminalization.
But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Just look at Biden’s 1994 crime bill. Tougher penalties for hardened criminals sound like a good idea.
Until reality rears its ugly head. The US has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world.
The good news from Biden’s announcement doesn’t come from the cannabis pardons, which help nobody. The only good news is the potential postponement of cannabis.
But that, too, is tainted by reality. Cannabis de-planning is the only option that can be advocated. Only the FDA is responsible for debt restructuring.
Do you think the FDA will leave the rule of law alone? Do you think having FDA regulate cannabis is a good thing?
Consider who makes up the Food and Drug Administration.
There’s former commissioner Scott Gottlieb, who sits on Pfizer’s board of directors. Stephen Hahn led the FDA when it approved the Moderna COVID vaccine. Guess what? Hahn has a financial interest in Moderna.
Mark McClellan is another former FDA commissioner who sits on the Johnson & Johnson board of directors.
This is of course only part of the picture, but the overall picture is clear. There is a revolving door of federal FDA bureaucrats working for big drug companies and vice versa.
The FDA is just an extension of Big Pharma, and Biden’s rescheduling of cannabis will give them undue authority over this medicinal herb.
Let’s go Brandon!
Alleged President Joe Biden’s cannabis pardon isn’t helping anyone. In a real deed, he would have forgiven breeders, sellers, and dealers.
Nobody is in federal prison for simple possession. But there are a lot of young black guys there who “deal” in cannabis.
Of course, if Biden was serious about undoing the damage done by the drug war, his cannabis pardon would have helped someone.
Instead, he took the shallow route, and the corporate press cheered him on like the lapdogs of the presstitutes that they are.
They are not interested in helping you. They are interested in maintaining and expanding their power.
Biden’s cannabis pardons should have included trade and distribution pardons. That’s what cannabis connoisseurs are in federal prison for. Not easy possession.
Some people sold as little as $300 worth of weed. But they’ve been in federal prison for over a decade, thanks to mandatory minimum sentences.
After eight years of Obama and Biden’s inaction, Donald Trump pardoned some of these people in 2020. (Donald Trump also signed the 2018 Farm Bill, which essentially legalized all cannabinoids except THC).
But Biden’s cannabis pardon doesn’t help anyone. Especially immigrants, for whom the pardon does not apply.
Joe Biden is just taking a page from Justin Trudeau’s cannabis book. Sell on soundbites and rhetoric to the gullible masses. Use cannabis legalization to empower the corporate elite (and the government bureaucrats who will re-elect you).
Nobody gets jailed in a federal prison for the simple possession of cannabis. Joe Biden’s cannabis pardon doesn’t help anyone.
