Berlin introduces edible hemp tickets for bus and subway drivers to ease the stress of Christmas

The Berlin transport company BVG, which is already known for its playful marketing campaign, has just launched a new one – edible “hemp tickets”.
Right, just in time for the holidays, the transport company introduced a ticket made of edible paper sprayed with hemp oil and jokes that it is supposed to reduce the stress of Christmas travel, Reuters reported.

But cannabis enthusiasts should be aware: the edible “hemp ticket” contains neither CBD nor THC or similar substances. The hemp oil on the tickets is made from the seeds of the cannabis plant and is said to have a “relaxing effect”.
“Of course, all of this should be taken with a wink,” said BVG spokesman Jannes Schwentu. The idea with the ticket is to get Berliners to take the bus or subway during the hectic and sometimes stressful Christmas season.

The tickets, which are available for a week, cost around $ 9.94 and are valid for 24 hours.
“We make it very clear that anyone who wants to use the ticket as an actual ticket, please just nibble or eat it after the journey as if it had a bite, it is no longer valid,” emphasized Schwentu.
The introduction of the hemp ticket follows the German plan to legalize marijuana – a move that could generate annual tax revenues of $ 3.85 billion.
