Baked with Nana and Gramps

Consuming weed and getting high was something people hid from their families. Today, however, cannabis is legal in many states in the country. As a result, people are more open-minded and no longer have to hide cannabis. In fact, new polls found that many people are ready to get high with their families.

A recent survey by cannabis edibles brand Azuca found that 60% of respondents are willing to take cannabis with their grandparents. The legalization of cannabis has continued to increase across the country. As a result, the law that evaluates consumer habits and attitudes towards cannabis use is also increasing.

As state legalization knocks, the survey seeks to raise key questions. These questions range from cannabis as the future of pain management to use in the workplace. The survey also identifies the top preference of cannabis in the market.

METHODOLOGY

The survey of American and cannabis use was conducted online with Survey Monkey. The survey included a national sample of 1089 participants. These participants spanned different income levels and different geographic regions in the United States. The survey was also weighted to identify age and gender distribution. The survey spanned 18 to 60+ age groups in the United States. More than half of the participants were cannabis users.

At the end of the survey, it was found that 60% of respondents were willing to use cannabis with their grandparents. Other key results of the survey were also found, including the growing popularity of edibles.

Edible popularity

Edibles emerged as the top consumption preference in the survey, with more than half of respondents choosing edibles. Most resto respondents prefer edibles such as baked goods and gums to vaping and smoking.

In addition, more than half (53%) of those surveyed said they had improved their consumption of edibles as a result of the pandemic. The survey also found that more than half (54%) would like their edibles to work faster. Around two thirds (62%) of the respondents also want edibles with little or no cannabis flavor. The survey also found that 17% of respondents prefer beverages, while 13% prefer tropical cannabinoids.

Other important results of the survey are:

Understanding cannabis

Over two-thirds (70%) of respondents can see the differences between CBD and THC. In addition, around half (45%) of those surveyed know about microdosing and how to use it.

Cannabis wellness

Around 58% of those questioned are of the opinion that cannabis is an option for pain therapy. Of the cannabis users who responded to the survey, 64% use it to relax and 43% to help them fall asleep. Also, 40% use it for pain management, 39% for recreation, and 37% for health and wellness.

Cannabis Use Habits

While adult use of cannabis is now legal in over 18 states, some Americans have never used cannabis. The poll reports that more than 50% of Americans have not used cannabis. Of the population who have consumed cannabis, 28% say they use it on a daily basis. In addition, 18% request weekly, 15% monthly, and 39% multiple cuts per year.

Cannabis use preferences

More than half of cannabis users (52%) prefer to consume cannabis in the form of gummy bears. 30% say they prefer other foods or chocolate, while 39% prefer smoking. In addition, 22% of cannabis users prefer a vaporizer, 13% choose tropical and 17% use beverages.

Cannabis poses

The survey also shows that around a third of cannabis users think it is reasonable to use cannabis in the workplace. Finally, the survey confirms that most cannabis users (60%) would rather buy expensive cannabis from the pharmacy than cheaper illegally marketed cannabis.

Given the poll results, the American and cannabis use poll confirms what the Azuca team has always believed for years. The team believes that edible foods are the future and fortune of the cannabis industry.

Azuca CEO and President Kim Sanchez Rael also said a lot about the poll at a press conference. She mentioned that the study had also shown that there was still a need to educate the general public about cannabis. Regarding the demand for cannabis, she said that demand continues to grow exponentially. And now it’s time for Azuca to bring accessible and mature products that people can trust.

Final thoughts

There is no doubt that government legalization of cannabis would destroy many stereotypes about the herb. And most importantly, the researchers would have full government support to study the analgesic properties of cannabis.

This poll gives an idea of what the future of a country that embraces cannabis would look like. In fact, it is something to be anticipated – a future of proper pain management, relaxation, and recovery.
