Are Nutella and marijuana the perfect combination?
Nutella is all the rage, especially on college campuses. It is one of the most popular spreads in the world. The manufacturer Ferrero consumes over a quarter of the world’s hazelnut supply. Considering the decadence of the flavor and the creamy goodness, it’s a real treat. So are Nutella and marijuana the perfect combination?
Nutella cannot be said to be nutritious, but it does provide some important vitamins and minerals that are necessary for good health. Hazelnut content can benefit your heart health when consumed in moderation due to its sugar and high fat content.
It is the fat content that allows it to mix well with cannabis oil and provide the best experience. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in nuts and can increase the THC content of foods. These healthy fats bind to the cannabinoid receptors in our brain and help THC cross the blood-brain barrier more quickly. This can help your Nutella enjoyment take effect faster and last longer.

The ancestor of Nutella began with Napoleon. In his war with the British, he led a continental blockade that caused chocolate prices to skyrocket. Italian chocolatiers in Turin, Italy began adding chopped hazelnuts to chocolate to last as long as possible. This delicious paste was called “Gianduia” back then.
Rationing in Europe during World War II made chocolate more expensive again. It was then that Pietro Ferrero, an Italian pastry chef, once again turned to hazelnuts for salvation. In 1946 he created Pasta Gianduja, which was renamed “Nutella” in 1964. Their popularity is undeniable, with a glass sold every 2.5 seconds around the world.
The success of Nutella has made the Ferrero family one of the richest in Italy. The company also produces children’s chocolate and Ferrero Rocher.
