Announcing the High Times Cannabis Cup Massachusetts: People’s Choice Edition 2023

2023 marks the third year that our High Times Cannabis Cup: People’s Choice Edition will be held in Massachusetts. Soon, from October 9-11, we’ll be doing our behind-the-scenes preparations by collecting product submissions from across the state through our official inclusion partner for this year, Nova Farms. Stay tuned for an in-depth article on the history of Nova Farms and how they truly are a beast of the east. These products will be organized and packed in kits between October 12th and 15th by a dedicated team. Over the following week, these bags of goodies will be on their way to participating dispensaries (including Nova Farms and others to be announced).

But one of the most important dates for our fans and judges in Massachusetts is October 21st when the jerseys officially go on sale! From the same day and until December 24th, participants will start trying products and recording their opinions and ratings for each product, including ratings from 1 to 10 on aesthetics, aroma, taste, effects and more, as well as a comments section where the judges are represented are responsible for providing 2-3 sentences about their thoughts and experiences. Each judge’s commitment not only determines our 2023 winners, but also provides important feedback that helps all brands continue to improve their products.

With best wishes to both the judges and the participating brands celebrating different holiday traditions, High Times will calculate the results and announce the winners on January 8th, 2024! Not a bad way to ring in the new year.

For 2023 we are offering two new categories in our range including fortified pre-rolls. Our concentrate category has been split into two categories: solvent-based concentrates and non-solvent/rosin concentrates.

Entry requirements:

• Flower: (228) 1 gram units individually wrapped and labelled. We do not accept 3.5 gram units.
• Pre Rolls: (228) individually wrapped and labeled units, each containing a 2g flower.
• infused Pre-Rolls: (228) individually wrapped and labeled units, each containing 2g of flower and 0.5g of concentrate.
• Solved• Concentrates and Vape Pens: (228) 0.5 gram units individually wrapped and labeled. We do not accept 1 gram units. Batteries are required for trolleys.
• Does not contain solvents Concentrates: (100) 0.5g units, individually wrapped and labeled units. We do not accept 1 gram submissions.
• Edibles: (100) individually wrapped and labeled units with a maximum of 50 mg THC per package. We do not accept packages with more than 50 mg THC.
• Topicals+tinctures+capsules: (100) Samples. individually wrapped for retail.
• Capsules: Maximum 100 mg THC per sample / Tinctures: Maximum 500 mg THC per sample

Entrance fees:

An entry: $250 non-refundable

Two entries: $100 per entry, non-refundable

Three entries: A $100 refundable deposit per entry. All deposits will be refunded after 100% of reserved entries have been submitted

With first-class sponsorship there is no entry fee

Our key retail partner this time is Nova Farms with dispensary locations in Attleboro, Framingham and Dracut, Massachusetts, as well as Greenville, Maine and Woodbury, New Jersey. We’ve announced a series of winners for the 2022 High Times Cannabis Cup Massachusetts: People’s Choice Edition. In our multi-strain categories, Happy Valley and Rythm took home two trophies, in addition to wins from other breeders such as NETA (our inclusion partner of). last year), Bailey’s Buds and Nature’s Heritage.

Last year, our Edibles category winners also spotlighted a variety of delicious treats, including chocolate macarons and honey sticks from Munchèas, chocolate bars from Insa and Meltdown, and a range of infused beverages from Happy Valley, Vibations and Wynk. Not to mention an extensive collection of gummy bears from brands like Incredibles, Cannatini, Kanha, Hashables and Treeworks.
