- beaver
- Duck – Male ducks have a spiral penis that rotates counterclockwise to target their sperm to the left ovary. - Koala bear – Koala bears are ripe for chlamydia… That may seem like a salacious statement, but it’s a perfectly true animal fact. In some parts of the country, the infection rate is as high as ninety percent. Koala bears spread the disease in two ways, through sexual transmission and breastfeeding. An infected mother can pass it to her baby while breastfeeding. The Australian government is working on a vaccine to help the shrinking population. In addition, all infected bears are captured, treated and released.
- cats – Thanks to DNA studies, we now know that cats domesticated themselves. It started in the Neolithic period and accelerated in ancient Egypt.
- Egypt – Cats were revered as guardians of the underworld and treated with sacred respect. In hindsight, this could have something to do with pest control. Scavenging rodents were a constant threat to any crop grown or stored; Reducing the pest population would have a direct impact on the spread of disease.

- pigs – Domestic pigs are sprinters and can run up to 17 km/h. Savages are even faster and have been clocked at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Interestingly, as a species, pigs don’t like to walk in straight lines, they walk in zigzags.
