Massages have been used for relaxation and well-being since ancient times. They are a way to help the body and relax the mind and have helped hundreds of millions of people throughout history. Currently, it is a $22 billion+ industry run by small family businesses. But next time you get a massage, can CBD oil take massages to the next level?

Massages Improve blood and lymph flow to reduce muscle tension, affect the nervous system through stimulation and/or relaxation/sedation, and heal tissue. CBD helps with relaxation, chronic pain, inflammation, migraines, and more. A combination could increase enjoyment and benefits.

CBD massages are popular and are becoming increasingly common. Generally, spas use hemp CBD massage oil because CBD cannabis is not yet fully legal. Although more research is needed to better understand the medical benefits, studies conducted have found stress relief, anxiety relief, and overall mood elevation. Hemp-derived CBD contains 0.3% or less THC. Hemp CBD oil does not produce a psychoactive high, although it is important to note that cannabis topicals do not produce a mental high, even if they are THC-based.

Some studies have suggested that CBD has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, but these effects need to be confirmed in larger, high-quality studies. Many people with arthritis have tried CBD, but the anecdotal evidence they report is mixed. Some people report noticeable pain relief, sleep improvement, and/or anxiety reduction, while others do not. As with any arthritis medication, some people report no symptom improvement when taking CBD.

CBD may relax you, but it won't get you high. It kind of decouples you from stressors and emotions, much like a drug. You avoid the side effects of being stoned, so you can drive after the massage.
