What better way to kick back and take a relaxing trip than to enjoy some of these flavorful mixed drinks? Some have disappeared from menus, but all have their place in beverage history. Cadillac Margarita

The granddaddy of all car cocktails, the Cadillac Margarita is a must-try if you want to enjoy the sweet and sour power of tequila and sunshine in a frosted glass. Its story begins in the Cadillac Bar in Nuevo Lardo, Mexico, but it got its breakthrough thanks to a risqué men's magazine. The power mix appeared in the Playboy Bartender's Guide in 1979, but its premiumization was done through cranberry liqueur, not Grand Marnier, which came later.

  • 3/4 ounce Orange liqueur like Cointreau
  • 3/4 ounce Lemon juiceFreshly squeezed

  2. Pour cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice into a shaker with ice and shake well.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Ounces GIn
  • 1/2 Ounces They penetrate together
  • 1/2 Ounces Ffresh cucumber
  • 1/4 Ounces Ssimple syrup
  • 2 Sprigs of rosemary

Create

  1. Crush grated rosemary and sugar syrup
  2. Mix ice, gin, Cointreau and cucumber juice and shake well
  3. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass
  4. Garnish with rosemary sprig

A great cocktail deserves one – and Italy has done it right with this delicious, simple drink. The bitter combination is perfect for those who live life in the fast lane.

  • 1 ½ oz Fernet Branca
  • 1 ½ ounces Campari
