Study shows older dogs benefit from hemp oil
Man's best friend shares the pain and illnesses of aging – now a study offers a little relief
We love them and consider them family, so we want to help our little loved ones as they grow older. As our dogs get older, their performance often decreases and they can become ill more often. Since there is almost nothing sadder than when a dog feels sick, you can give your dog hemp seed oil full of vitamin E and vitamin A to help his immune system fight any chemicals, drugs, pesticides and toxins your dog may have in it absorbs life day by day.

Medical research has also given hope to older dogs. A study from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine found that hemp oil may help aging dogs suffering from joint pain.

According to the study, a hemp-based drug developed by ElleVet Sciences is “effective for pain relief in dogs with osteoarthritis, chronic joint pain, and geriatric aches and pains; with dramatically positive effects on our more geriatric patients.” The first study of its kind took eight months to conduct and examined how ElleVet's soft chews are metabolized and how they relieve joint pain in dogs.

The University has partnered with ElleVet Sciences to conduct this double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
