Surprise Missouri! The state opens adult marijuana sales three days early
Missouri officially joined the adult club earlier this morning when state officials gave the go-ahead for recreational sales three days ahead of schedule.
This is the fastest vote-to-sale time in the history of legal cannabis. Missouri voters approved legalizing adult use in the November 8, 2022 vote. Less than three months later, local residents were lining up to sample the wares.

Sales were expected to begin Monday, February 6, but state regulators said yesterday afternoon they would allow sales of adult-use products to begin Friday morning at 196 operating medical marijuana dispensaries.
That caused some confusion as it remained unclear whether all stores would be ready to serve non-medical customers over the weekend.
A number of stores vied for the right to boast of “first sale”. The Good Day Farm store in Independence recorded its first sale (photo above) at 8:12 a.m
Leafly will continue to follow today’s opening as it rolls across the state.
Happy birthday Missouri!
