Next generation Dosidos and Moonbow strains are the next legends from Archive Seed Bank

Archive builds on its reputation for world-renowned genetics with two fresh Moonbow hybrids.

Leafly’s 2021 Strain of the Year is Dosidos, the brainchild of legendary geneticists at Archive Seed Bank in Portland, Oregon – and if you love Dosi, be sure to keep an eye on her Archive-created children and grandchildren. The team at Archive, led by legendary breeder “Fletch” aka The Docta, is known for tinkering with phenotypes until they create the best expression of a strain. Dosidos is far from her first big hit; For the past two decades, they’ve preserved classic clone strains from the ’90s in seed form, like Face Off OG.

The second greatest Archive invention since Dosidos, the Moonbow line crosses two well-known strains – funky hybrid Dosidos and fruity indica Zkittles – to yield one of the biggest rising stars in cannabis genetics. Leafly users rate it a 4.9 out of 5, a slightly better score than even its already legendary parents.

Archive’s Moonbow F1 generation phenotypes, including #99 and #112, have arrived in the recreational market, but Moonbow 112 – yes, 112 – is the latest and greatest…at least so far. The strain placed in three categories of the Michigan Cannabis Cup 2021 and convinced with her fruity-floral candy taste and her euphoric, creative and social effect.

Two new strains are about to hit Archive’s shelves: one is the next evolution of the Moonbow line, while the other is Dosido’s best grandchild. These seed packs will be released on Sunday May 15th, 2022 at 1pm PDT, so get ready to grow some out of this world cannabis this season.

Moonbow 112 IX: The boss-level Moonbow strain

It took three years of work to create Moonbow’s ideal form: Moonbow 112 IX. Rather than backcrossing to the Moonbow mother plant, Archive invested in work to identify phenotypes in later generations for more reliable results. By breeding siblings F1 and F2, Archive combined the best the line has to offer in one strain. This produced something that replicates or even improves upon the original Moonbow #112 mother plant without cloning – so you can capture that flash in your home grow.

The mature plants are impressive on their own, with great structure, impressive height, foot-long colas, and sticky buds each a handful in their own right. Moonbow 112 IX was bred with flower quality as a priority, with a strong terpene profile reminiscent of blackberry, currant, and lime with hints of gas. This is truly the Over Moonbow.

Moon Glow: A fresh and fruity Dosidos-heavy hybrid

Moon Glow has Dosidos lines from both parents, with Moonbow #112 on one side and a male Planet Purple F2 #144, the offspring of an internally selected Sherbadough (Sunset Sherbet x Dosidos #8) crossed with a male Moonbow (Zkittles x Dosidos), on the other hand. This magical strain boasts the dense, colorful buds that made its grandparents a legend, along with dense resin, zesty Zkittles fruit, and hints of the earth, Kush, and red wine tannins of Sunset Sherbet. The beauty of these buds starts in the bag and continues throughout the experience.

Plants have a medium, well-branched profile, thrive both as a cola-dominant and topped, and take around 60–72 days to flower. Hashmakers can enjoy yields in excess of 6% on some phenotypes.
