He was loved and respected by the Irish people for ending harmful practices and bringing about change in a peaceful way. Ireland raises a glass in his honor each year and invites the world to raise one too. It’s a day we all get a little Irish because the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day is about peace and goodwill.
