Everything you need to know about the updated Zeus Arc GT. need to know
Zeus Arsenal is a vaporizer brand that makes palm-sized, dry flower vaporizers – the Zeus Arc GT and Zeus Arc GTS, respectively – with a selection of hyper-specific accessories including an ice bath for cooler puffs, aluminum pods for pre-loading hits, and a dose-specific dry herb grinder that looks like a cross between a pepper grinder and a plastic flashlight.
German automotive engineering is a key element of the Zeus Arsenal brand, so these devices can fly under the radar of those who are indifferent to in-depth vehicle comparisons and car puns, especially when it comes to the brand’s pocket vapes. However, a look under the hood of the new Zeus Arc GT model shows that the appeal of this device isn’t just in its charged chassis; both its chamber and its vapor path are made of real gold.
What is the Zeus Arc GT?
The Zeus Arc GT is a portable dry herb vaporizer with a dry herb chamber and vapor path made of gold – “GT” stands for gold sink technology. These specific gold features set the Zeus apart from other vaporizers that may occupy similar shelf space.
Functionally, the Zeus Arc GT is both ergonomic and intuitive. The pack fits right in the palm of your hand, is easy to load and unload, and requires minimal preparation for deliciously roasted puffs, half a gram each. Furthermore, the price of the new Zeus Arc GT is slightly more budget-friendly than similar models.
How does the Zeus Arc GT work?
After charging, users only need to take a minimum of steps before they can consume.
To access the heating chamber, you must first remove the silicone mouthpiece from the housing of the device. The mouthpiece is relatively easy to pull off the device and differs from the bottom of the device by its power button (three small grooves that fit snugly under the thumb when the device is held).
You can then load finely ground plant material into the gold heating chamber under the removable mouthpiece. The chamber holds approximately 0.5 grams, and an attached (gold) packing tool on the bottom of the device can help flush material into the chamber, but the shape of the housing allows the device to be used like a shovel, carrying the The soil scoops the flower directly into the wide chamber opening. The mouthpiece fits snugly back into place, and once the chamber is charged, the power button on the top of the device should be held in place for two seconds, or until you receive brief haptic feedback that the device has been activated.
The appearance of the device is kept relatively spartan, but with three wafer-thin LED strips that illuminate the side of the device opposite the power button. These bars light up one after the other when the device is switched on, pulse blue when the device heats up, and change to green to signal another haptic feedback moment when the device reaches the desired temperature. After 30 seconds of inactivity, the lights will glow white to indicate it has cooled down.
What’s included
Included in the Zeus Arc GT package is:
- A simple cleaning kit with pipe cleaners
- cotton swab
- Alcohol wipes
- Proprietary kitchen sink cleaning tool
- Micro USB charging cable
Temperature change
Temperatures on the Zeus Arc GT are controlled by the same button that turns the device on and off. While a longer press of the button activates the device, a short tap toggles the temperature between low, medium and high settings.
The temperature is indicated by the three blue LED bars on the side of the device; one bar indicates a low temperature, two bars are medium and three bars are high. The bars pulsate blue when the device is warming up and glow green when the device is ready to hit.
Specific temperature controls can be found through the device’s firmware when connected to a PC.
Charge
The charging station for the Zeus Arc GT is located on the underside of the device, hidden behind the golden charging tool that snaps neatly into the base of the vaporizer. The micro USB port is accessible as soon as the multitool is removed. A full charge takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
The three LED bars on the device indicate that the battery is low by displaying a glowing red bar. While the device is charging, all three bars glow solid red. To check the battery life of the device during operation, you can shake the device twice. The LED bars light up red: one bar for low battery, two bars for medium and three bars for full charge.
What are ArcPods?
Part of the Zeus Arsenal is an accessory set that includes a selection of small aluminum heating chamber liners. These liners, or ArcPods, are designed to save time and energy by allowing you to preload a series of punches and save them until you’re ready to puff.
The ArcPods are not required to use the Zeus vaporizers.
How to clean the Zeus Arc GT
The Zeus Arc GT is relatively easy to clean after each use. It also includes a flow sink tool for deeper cleaning. The flow sink tool can be used to remove the flow sink and the flow sink strainer – both critical elements for the functioning of the chamber – from the heating chamber. The flow sink tool can be inserted into the lower device to access the flush and screen elements and gently slide them out of their housing. These parts can then be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and replaced.
What’s the attraction?
The Zeus Arc GT is a perfectly suited pocket-sized vaporizer for dry herbs, made more attractive by its friendlier price than most and the inclusion of real gold plating in its construction.
For $ 179, the device offers smooth, tasty hits and is both ergonomic and intuitive, requiring very little preparation before use.
It should be noted that frequent use will eventually cause the gold features to fuse with the underlying metals to create a proprietary alloy that may not have the cache of real gold, but remains a relatively cool point of interest, which is quite unique to the Zeus Arc GTS.
