Why is weed not yet legal in 2022?
We have come to a point in human history where we begin to look at the stars, colonize other planets, and experiment with psychedely as a legitimate means of treating psychological problems, and in the United States – CANNABIS IS STILL ILLEGAL !
To be fair, cannabis is still illegal in most parts of the world, but even places like Thailand, known for its tough anti-drug trafficking laws, plan to legalize cannabis soon. However, the US is largely lagging behind. This is a shame when you consider that there are billions of dollars in legal trafficking in the United States and the current illegality of the substance at the national level only exists to stifle progress.
Today we’re going to take a closer look at why cannabis – despite insane public support – is still illegal in the United States and most of the world.
Deprogramming takes time …
The PsyOp, known as the “drug ban,” has been in full swing since the early 1900s but really culminated in politics in the 1970s under the Controlled Substance Act. In this document, all medicines have essentially been placed in the hands of the pharmaceutical industry, which then essentially said, “All medicines that are not ours are bad!”
This concept was then reinforced by the United States government through the systematic message known as “Anti-Drug Propaganda”. Anyone who has lived in the 1980s and 1990s is familiar with programs like DARE where teenagers and children were the target of their messages. As a result, for over five decades people have been led to believe that “drugs are bad (if they’re illegal)” and whether you like it or not – these types of messages create a belief structure.
What we’ve seen in the past ten to twenty years is a mass end-of-programming attempt that got people waking up to that
-
Cannabis isn’t as dangerous as it is said to be, and in fact, it’s the safest drug known to mankind
-
The ban does not deter drug use and makes both drugs and the environment more hostile.
Fight against private interests
Pharma paid millions into anti-cannabis science before it could begin to take advantage of it. Pharmaceutical companies would tell you, “We wanted to legalize cannabis to make medicine!” However, this is proven to be wrong when you look at pharmaceutical funding for anti-cannabis science.
The reason they want to do this is because, unlike their other drugs, anyone can grow cannabis at home. If you didn’t have to buy a drug from the pharmacy and could easily grow it at home, wouldn’t you prefer the natural option?
Pharma wouldn’t like that!
It’s not just pharmaceutical companies who are against cannabis legalization, however. There are some industries that lose a lot of money and power when cannabis is legalized, including private prisons, police unions, rehabilitation clinics, etc.
The main reason things move so slowly is because these private interests throw a brick in the way of slowing progress. How many of your congressmen own stocks in Big Pharma? When you consider that over 50 of them didn’t report their stock portfolios – which is against the terms of service and the law – there are 38 senators who actually own stocks in the same companies that are making money from the pandemic.
This shows us that Congressmen and Senators are pretending to represent the people when in fact they are representing their people, aka private interests. I think to solve this problem every politician should wear the logo of the companies that sponsor them – like NASCAR! So you can easily see who is in which bag.
Biden “brandoning” things up!
It doesn’t matter whether you thought Biden was America’s hope or harm. Biden has routinely been consistent in his anti-cannabis stance, and while his party and the country would now benefit from legalization – the idea never even crossed their minds.
Think about it, Biden is one of the least popular presidents in US history and is now – according to recent polls – even less popular than the Great Orange himself – Donald Trump. One would think that the Democratic Party would be legalized by now, given that it has a majority in government – but such a move has not been taken. The President has expressed no support and no attempts have been made to cross this bridge.
Of course, I can’t blame Biden on my own – it’s actually the Democratic Party that is failing the American people because, as we’ve seen over the years, … YOU are not their concern. They want to do justice to their sponsors and have to maintain the status quo. Because of this, Bernie – who was far cheaper and positioned to beat Trump – was put on the bench and Biden took over. The Democrats don’t care about their base and they don’t care about legalization from the “party” perspective.
There are Democrats who are vigorously pushing for legalization, but if you look at how Kamala Harris used cannabis to win votes and then left the platform when it was elected, it shows that the entire Democratic Party branded it .
This is not to say that Republicans are guilty – on the contrary, bans are a bipartisan issue and virtually all politicians have a role to play in maintaining the status quo. Don’t, because I highlight the Democrats, think that the Republicans are safe, it’s just the Democrats on the spit.
Maybe 2022 can be different?
I hope that their delaying tactics have been used up and that we will see some fundamental political changes in the first half of 2022 this year. The end of the federal ban would be the last nail in the coffin and the beginning of a new era. Let us hope that this year your elected officials can actually do their job of respecting the will of the people.
