Mental health is reset through psychedelic therapy

A secret once kept in nuanced circles by degenerate and free spirits has recently grown in popularity and suits a wider professional audience. As it turns out, psychedelic therapy can reset mental health – a good trip can flip the switch.

There is a story circulating that Apple Inc. founder Steve Jobs learned how to use psychedelics to invade life more curiously. In essence, an acid trip in an apple orchard spawned the seeds of thought that sprouted in every iPhone today.

Beyond the Inquisition, Matt Stang, former owner and operator of High Times, knows that psychedelics can treat depression and trauma with dominant effectiveness. Following this belief, Stang founded Delic Corp as the world’s first psychedelic wellness company and continued to expand its roof.

Psychedelically assisted therapies and their 10-fold effectiveness

More therapeutic clinics are allowed to help with a psychedelic reset as regulations continue to shift alongside an advancing wave. During a phone call, the founder of Delic Corp quoted the benefits of psychedelics over regular drugs.

It is already emerging that these substances are 10 to 18 times more potent than where traditional pharmacopoeias currently live. This corresponds to a step rate of four to five percent, that is 4 to 5% of people who use electricity [non-psychedelic] Pharmacopoeias. While psycho-assisted pharmaceutical therapies live in an effectiveness rate of 50-70%.

That means a significant percentage of people who take these psychotherapies with a proper course of treatment will be rated better a year later, according to Stang.

The reset

Entheogen-derived psychedelics are still on the verge of breaking the barriers of regulations and laws. Meanwhile, Delic Corp currently has a catalog of ketamine clinics – a therapy option available in some regions that can support mental health.

The clinical model consists of a series of supported six-week infusion programs that you normally receive on a weekly basis. And then, after six weeks, you reset your brain’s ability to stand still and relax, rather than stumble to fight or flee.

As it turns out, different psychedelics will treat depression in unique ways. Psilocybin and ketamine can both reset mental health, but each psychotherapeutic therapy has an individual role. For example, the neurotransmitter known as glutamate, which helps connect pathways throughout the brain, is responsible for the lion’s share of ketamine’s dissociative properties. Ketamine inhibits certain glutamate receptors, which causes the brain to slow down and dissociate.

Behind the hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms, however, is the neurotransmitter serotonin, one of the lucky endorphins. Magic mushrooms also strengthen the serotonin-related pathways and the endocannabinoid system. However, ongoing research shows an overlap between these therapies and how they reset the brain.

The whole catalog

Psilocybin mushroom clinics may be online soon in Oregon and the Caribbean, but psychedelic medicine is diverse. Stang believes other novel compounds like LSD or MDMA are still three to four years away – much of it has to do with the time it takes to pass clinical trials. However, when it comes to herbal psychedelics, there are currently ibogaine ceremonies in Mexico and on the coast of British Columbia and, of course, ayahuasca retreats in the Caribbean.

I think we have a confluence because a lot of places are now working to legalize herbal medicine or natural products. When you look at psilocybin, I think it’s the spearhead on the vegetable side of things …

There are therapeutic benefits to things like ayahuasca. And some of these herbal medicines (and products), which come with the right directed intention and integration, and are used properly, can be truly beneficial to people’s health and wellbeing.

Booster recordings

Unlike traditional antidepressants, psychedelic treatment can leave lasting benefits for mental and emotional health. And a mind that becomes restless after this course can be given booster doses later to maintain its well-being.

The booster can help you reset yourself so you don’t get sucked into a dark hole. People get into this hole and feel like they’re stuck and it’s really just about making them feel like they have an option to get out of.

Psychedelics could therefore lead to a sharp reduction in traditional pharmacopoeia consumption. But the cannabis industry has previously seen drug companies see herbal medicines that are difficult to regulate, especially when it hurts profits. Now that psychedelic therapy is being addressed in the clinical trial, will mental health be more easily reset and managed?
