You know that scene in Eastbound & Down where Will Ferrell says, “I can feel it in my plums. They are getting a nice bluish hue and are preparing to take them to the farmers market. ”We sensed that.

It’s early fall, which means that cannabis growers here (and in most places) in the Northern Hemisphere are just about to bloom. In case you haven’t noticed this week, we took notes from the famous Shark Week and made a kind of Grow Week.

From old-school cultivation and harvesting techniques to sowing tips and a fantastic exclusive garden tour through the Food Forest Permaculture – let’s get into the highlight role of Grow Week 2021.

How to grow and sow like old school professionals

Sometimes newer is not always better. Megan May shares her wise wisdom for Grow Week in this two-parter on how to grow and how to cultivate old-school. And she’s not just an intruder – all of the photos in the grow guide show her plants. The instructions for harvesting in good time for harvest time are easy to understand for beginners and contain illustrated photos for each work step.

Where can I buy feminized seeds?

While the outdoor sowing season is long past in most locations, it is never too early to think ahead. (Or maybe you are preparing to grow indoors). In this Grow Week, Hosam Zaki cleans up the confusing jargon about feminized sowing with a pinch of humor. He recommends a variety of seed banks that sell feminized seeds for most major markets.

And no, feminized seeds actually don’t make up 70% of the yield when compared to their male counterparts. If only I could say the same thing about our human colleagues.

Okay, maybe the most impressive thing we’ve seen this Grow Week was Julia Veintrop’s insider tour of an outrageous outdoor grow op (with medicinal cannabis!) From Food Forest Permaculture. She literally had to climb a ladder to look at these plants. Do not believe me? See for yourself.
