Purify The Air With Cannabis – An Environment Word Search – Breaking News Today
BC burns. Forests around the world are currently on fire. When you factor in all of the effects of air pollution and CO2 emissions, the threat to our lungs has become pretty real. According to the Annual State of the Global Air Report published by the Health Effects Institute (HEI), ninety percent of the world’s population breathes unhealthy air. It is very easy to look at the world and the direction it is going with fear and horror. There are solutions, however, and one of them is cannabis. Believe it or not, the fact is that the cannabis plant can help purify the air.
Cannabis acts as a carbon sink
A carbon sink is a natural system that sucks and stores carbon from the soil and the atmosphere. Our largest natural carbon sinks are the ocean, plants and soil. Thanks to deforestation and the increase in greenhouse gases, a vicious cycle of climate change has accelerated. So in order to purify the air quickly, we have to grow hemp in every possible place. While this may seem extreme, it is actually backed by science. To reduce its global emissions, the Australian government has commissioned a study on “The role of industrial hemp in growing carbon”. It has been found that hemp is an ideal solution, both ecologically and economically.
The science behind it
Hemp is one of the best biocarbon sinks because of its rate of growth, molecular makeup, and the biomass of its cannabis stalks. The cellulose content in industrial hemp is very high and is displaced by carbon, which it removes from the atmosphere. Photosynthesis permanently binds carbon to the molecules, completely eliminating any concerns about contamination of its surroundings. The process of c02 displacement is so prominent and undeniable that it can be measured by weighing the dropped dry stems.
Use of the fibers
The chemical makeup of cannabis is really incredible and we could use it to replace all oil based and plastic products. Hemp removes CO2 from the soil and air from the time it is sown. Whatever is sucked out of the air is locked in the system. In addition, these fibers can be used in building materials, everyday household items, cosmetics, and even in automobiles.
The fires are burning, smoke is thick, and it’s hard to breathe outside; but at least there is a way to scrub the sky and plant cannabis plants. To lighten the mood and capture that information, here’s a wildfire word search.
