Dry Buds – How to Rehydrate Dry Buds – Breaking cannabis news today

I can hardly think of anything worse than sitting down rolling a joint only to find that the buds have dried out. The inevitable groan as I watch good money fly out the window and pain pour in again. The good news is that a stuff sack doesn’t automatically mean a death sentence for your cannabis.

It is, of course, a story as old as time. Dry buds have existed for as long as there have been smokers. But it doesn’t have to be that bad. To cheer! It is possible to save these sweet, sweet nuggets.

Rehydration isn’t as difficult as it sounds

During a recent visit to the local candy store, I noticed terracotta discs for sale. They looked similar to my brown sugar glass. As the name suggests, these are just small to large terracotta slices of various sizes and shapes that are soaked for a few hours and placed in an airtight container with the item you want to rehydrate.

You can find these disks at most home improvement stores. The specialties offered by your local cannabis store should be similarly priced. Not only will it help rehydrate your flowers, but it can also act as a preventive medicine to protect your stash from cooling down in the future.

DIY options for dry buds

If you prefer not to go out shopping or if you need an instant solution to the drought problem, your home already has a ton of stuff on hand.

A classic rehydration method is to take a slice of bread, dab some water on it (don’t overdo it), and toss the bread into your container. The dry buds suck the moisture out of the bread and hopefully provide a gentler draw to maintain your high quality buds, well, quality.

Not only does one apple a day keep the doctor away, it can do wonders to rehydrate your flowers. Almost all fruits are suitable and may have the benefit of adding a little new flavor to your stash. Oranges, limes, and even bananas will help rehydrate your stash – but be warned, if you leave it on too long it can start to rot – faster if you use bananas.

Citrus fruits add flavor and help repair dry buds

In a pinch, the quickest way to rehydrate your dry buds is to boil a pot of water, place it on the floor of your oven with a towel over it, and spread your weed on a cookie sheet or plate and let the fumes evaporate from the pot Slip oven and rehydrate the grass. Check often as you don’t want your weed to get too wet.

Why is dry cannabis such a problem? Well, dehydrated cannabis is not only harder to smoke, but also less effective. It also affects weight, which means you paid more for less in every way. On the other hand, if your cannabis gets too wet, it can develop mold and other health hazards.
