Although I would like to say that the reason cannabis is so popular is because society has recognized its flaws, they understand that prohibition is a grave violation of the personal freedoms of its citizens, that it is ineffective, harmful to the public Security and a multitude of other things; the truth is much easier!

Ma-Ma-Ma-money!

Like it or not, the main motivation for society to get involved in cannabis legalization is the fact that cannabis is a VERY lucrative industry valued at billions annually.

If it weren’t for the almighty dollar that is pulling politicians into their pockets, the ban would still go unchallenged, as opposed to standing on its hind legs and ready to be shot like the mad dog it is.

With cannabis also providing the fastest job growth than any other sector, and as more countries jump on the bandwagon, we will see cannabis trade explode over the next decade.

For anyone looking to make money, the cannabis industry seems like a good place to start. The problem is … what are you doing?

Do you grow weed and sell it? Are you investing in a pharmacy? Edible?

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The cannabis job market, and the industry as a whole, has grown significantly over the past two decades.

Today we’re taking a closer look at different ways you can make money in the cannabis industry in 2021.

Affiliate seller

There are several companies that offer affiliate sales programs. Essentially, you hook up your product and receive a commission on every sale. It’s that simple, and you can “technically” do it from anywhere in the world – even where cannabis isn’t legal.

For example, using a Youtube video to hook up a specific product from a legitimate cannabis supplier. If the person is in the same region as the supplier – buys from your link … you get your sales fee.

They technically promote the possibility of a sale – and get paid for it. This applies to thousands of other products in the industry, including CBD products.

Build a trunk

One of the best ways to make money in 2021 is by building an efficient tribe. This could be building an email list, Telegram, or WhatsApp group, damn it – even a good Facebook group can be used as leverage these days to sell people’s products.

There are many brands that want to find ways to promote their products and because platforms like Facebook don’t officially allow them to use official advertising channels – these brands find people with a large following who become aware of their product or service.

It takes time, and you may not get paid for a while – but once you have a large enough trunk behind you, you can always get it at the right price.

Cannabis content creator

When you build a trunk, you create content. However, the creators of content do not necessarily have to be “regular builders”. For example, some people make their money creating the content for the “influencers” that people follow.

Every successful cannabis brand has content creators – this includes bloggers, social media managers, video editors, and maybe even a spokesperson.

Find a niche that you can excel in and start working on a “work”. Over time, you’ll make noise in the community – as long as you consistently create and share your work, people will follow … and wherever people go – brands do too!

Dealer – Grow Gear / Utensils / Seeds

There are many related industries that you can tap into. The cannabis growing market is huge, and if you can become a supplier to a large grow facility or provide equipment for home growers, you can make big bucks!

These industries are pretty competitive, but if you have exceptional customer service and competitive pricing, you can make a place for yourself.

Likewise, selling pipes, bongs, and cannabis accessories almost always makes money. When people smoke weed, they need their gear.

Investing in a head shop can be surprisingly cheap if you have a good space. You can start small and scale up. I know this guy who invested $ 1,000 in a small bazaar and is now sitting in four big head shops.

If you have the courage and the vision, you can do it!

Make some software (or hardware)

Websites, apps, everything digital! The cannabis industry is fully integrated with the Internet of Things, and knowing how to program allows you to focus on general industry problems and try to find a software or even hardware solution.

In the past few months I’ve written about a few apps that try to do just that – solve an industry problem with a software solution.

Furthermore, if you had the mind of an engineer, you could develop some kind of technology to solve a common problem in the industry.

People have been trying to perfect the robotic trimmer for a while – that would cut production costs significantly (and put a lot of trimmers out of business).

Grow and sell weed

We can’t make a list without the obvious way to make money. The good thing is that anyone can do it – the bad thing is that not everyone can do it legally.

If you live in a legal state, you need to raise the investment capital, get the permits, and invest a lot of money!

Illegal – the initial investment is far cheaper – except that the risks are infinitely higher.

You make the call.

Laboratories / tests

The more regulations that are passed, the more testing will be required. Why don’t you let this lab be yours? If you know a thing or two about chemistry and how to properly set up a laboratory – then you can take advantage of all of this training and help the cannabis industry test its shit.

Legislators require it – so ideally you want to be a government approved entity, essentially to have a clientele that is forced to use your services.

Real estate & finance

Like any other industry, the cannabis industry needs space and resources to move its revenue. Depending on your expertise, you can find investors, find prime properties, etc.

You can even trade cannabis stocks these days!

Lawyer / accountant / other office jobs

Anything you can do in a legitimate business also applies to the cannabis industry. If you’re struggling to find a job in the regular job market, see how you can make your résumé more “cannabis friendly”.

There are numerous ways to make money from cannabis these days – whether by selling the products directly or simply to generate enough hype to make brands pay you for your tribe!
