5 weed products Jesse Royal can’t live without

Jesse Royal is a force to be reckoned with in the world of reggae music. Royal is a singer, songwriter and performer whose debut album Lily of da Valley topped the Billboard Reggae album charts in 2017 and earned him international acclaim. Born and raised in Jamaica, Royal’s love of the genre has been ingrained in him since childhood. As he puts it: “Reggae music is just a natural expression for us as Jamaicans …”

Just last week, Royal released its highly anticipated second album, Royal, which shares the authenticity and beauty of the reggae genre in an accessible and universal way. It’s a journey full of real situations and real experiences that he believes can all be shared and enjoyed together – regardless of their experience with his music or the genre as a whole.

When asked about the destination of his new album, Royal said, “This is definitely something I would love to share with the world, with fans, but also with people who have probably never heard of Jesse Royal or reggae. I try to give them something to fall in love with because we believe reggae is such a beautiful genre with beautiful people with a beautiful message and we believe everyone deserves to hear or experience this. ”

Despite his relaxed demeanor, Royal is extremely thoughtful and conscientious about his music and how it is received. “This is our duty as the messenger to ensure that everything we do is tasty, but also understandable, ah?”

Just as authentic as his love for the island of Jamaica and for reggae music is his love for weed, which began in childhood with his friendship with Daniel Bambaata Marley, the son of Ziggy Marley. He describes the Marleys as “very regal, honorable people” who inspired him and made him the adult he is today. He and Daniel, whom he considers a lifelong friend, started smoking weed when they were 11 or 12 years old.

“Well, if I’m honest, the first time we started burning herbs was when me and Daniel picked up some of the spliff tails that Uncle Ziggy or whoever left behind, and the reality is that the spliff- Tails were probably still like five. “Grams of weed, you see what I mean?” He said with a laugh.

In addition to making music and burning good herbs, Royal enjoys cooking, reading, playing soccer and most of all, being an activist in contact with his community in Jamaica. He wants to start a conversation about cannabis accessibility in his home country to make sure those who really need it can get it even if they can’t afford it.

“[In Jamaica] we feel that herbs play a huge role in how we move as a human race – how we think, how we relate to one another, how we relate to ourselves … It’s good to see the world head in the right direction and I can’t wait to see the benefits of a society where we normalize natural medicine. ”

Lion Paw tribe

“The Lion Paw variety that we developed especially for our community in Jamaica, [is a] high quality indica with certain tones understandable to our people and the reception from them is excellent, you know what i mean? We and Jacana who is currently the leading pharmacy in Jamaica are really trying to change the idea of herbal and herbal consumption in Jamaica in a social way. It’s a big mission, but we’re happy to be a part of it. “

Black raw rolling papers

These unique rolling papers from Raw are made in the Alcoy region of Spain, where dry winds keep the humidity low and the quality of the paper super high. The papers are so thin that you can really taste all the terps in your trees. It’s no wonder Royal uses these every day.

Rolling tray made of raw glass

Made from the most sturdy translucent glass, the Raw Glass Rolling Tray is designed to hold all of the nuggets you need while sitting perfectly on your lap and rolling comfortably anywhere. For Royal, the best thing about this rolling tray is its “stowability and usefulness”.

GSC strain

GSC is a classic and sativa-dominant hybrid bred by the famous Cookie Fam for good reason. Royal calls this strain one of his all-time favorites and says he loves everything about it, from the flavors to the care it receives throughout the growing process.

Iaso Goods four-part grinder

As someone who rolls up every day, a quality grinder is essential for Royal. The four-section 1.75-inch grinder from Iaso Goods is made from high-quality stainless steel to ensure that no harmful materials – such as aluminum shavings – get into your flower. “Because of the amount of herbs we smoke, it is necessary.”
