5 varieties that are on the menus in August

Another month, another round of new varieties and products from some of your favorite brands. Let’s not even waste time on the intro, here are five new strains that will hit your local shelves in August.

AbsoluteXtracts: white rhinoceros

AbsoluteXtracts – ABX for short – is one of the leading concentrate brands in California with a full range of dabs and vape carts. I recently asked what ABX could come up with on both fronts, and boy was I hype when I saw the words “White Rhino Vape Cart” fly back in my email.

White Rhino is one of the most potent, soothing strains I’ve ever smoked as a flower. So I already know it will sound like a live resin vape cart as well. It’s an indica-dominant hybrid derived from a long line of Afghan, Brazilian, and South Indian landrace strains. Its top effects from Weedmaps reviewers are relaxed, happy, and euphoric.

Korova Cuts: Black Ice

Korova Unrivaled has been slacking off for quite some time. They shook people when those wonka bars with 40% THC hit Instagram, and now in August they come with a little more fire: Black Ice Cream from their Korova Cuts line.

Black Ice Cream (my mouth watering if I just type that name) was bred by Motherland Genetics, a South African genetic research company owned by Black. It’s a cross between Do-Si-Dos # 18 and Gelato. Black Ice Cream buds have a thick layer of trichomes and a mix of vanilla and sugar dough flavors, and as for effects, I was told that it is a relaxing strain designed to deal with pain, stress and every other obstacle in your way.

On the terpene side, black ice cream dominates in caryophyllene, myrcene and humulene. Of the strain, Motherland Genetics said, “This was a cross we’ve always wanted to create. We used a selection of the best genetics to create Black Ice Cream. “

Available: California. Korova is also available in Oregon.

Stone Road: freak show

Stone Road extinguishes fire concentrates. In August, the brand will launch a new type of flower: Freakshow, originally bred by long-time breeder Shapeshifter.

Stone Road shared, “When longtime breeder Shapeshifter brought up several mutant seedlings with bizarre leaves in a batch of seeds, he did what most breeders wouldn’t: he kept them and bred them. He liked the result so much that he decided to cross these mutants and select them for unusual leaf shapes and patterns. Several generations later, with the help of the Humboldt Seed Company, the freak show was born! “

Freakshow is a sativa-dominant hybrid derived from an unknown sativa BX4 that contains 15% – 20% THC. To some people, this THC number may seem a little low, but real smokers know that you can’t judge quality based on THC percentage alone. Terpenes are just as important. Put your nose on a freak show and these terpenes will bring out diesel and grapefruit flavors with an interesting blend of banana and vanilla. The effect will hit you with a mild head high that is great for daytime use. Look out for freak shows on pharmacy menus in August.

Union Electric: Papaya Punch

This is for my budget buyers out there who want to balance quality and money. Union Electric could be the answer for you. I recently came across some Union Electric samples – it wasn’t the tastiest, but still a great choice for the midsize buyers looking for something that can be rolled up and burned at any time of the day.

In August, Union Electric is launching a new variety: Papaya Punch. Papaya Punch comes from the Oni Seed Company and is a cross between papaya and purple punch. It’s an indica-dominant hybrid with dense, bright lime green buds and purple accents. As the name suggests, it has a mix of sweet and tropical fruit flavors. For my terp hunters, Union Electric’s papaya punch is dominant in caryophyllene, limonene and humulene, followed by linalool, myrcene and pinene. Its effects can put you in a relaxed state of bliss.

Peep papaya punch on the menus in August. If you can’t find it, Union Electric will also be bringing out Starbird, Purple Punch, and Kind Bomb.

Willie’s Reserve: Sunday

Willie’s reserve is hot, I don’t care what anyone says. I have not had a bad experience smoking its weed in any state I purchased it from. So when I reached out to the folks at the company to see what might fall in Colorado, I was crazy about the new crossbreed they have coming in August: Sunday.

Spunday, bred by Indico Colorado on behalf of Willie’s Reserve, is a cross between two heavy hitters: Sundae Driver and Betty White. With buds that hold orange, green, and purple colors, it has a vicious pocket appeal. According to Willie’s, Smoking Spunday will gift you with an intense but mellow body and head high that gets you ready to relax and unwind. The variety is suitable for both beginners and advanced users.

Available: Colorado. Willie’s Reserve is also available in Alaska, Washington, and California.
