The oldest trick in the book is to get one thing done and then take care of the rest. Usually the first task is the hardest, and once you’ve cleared that hurdle, you feel like you’ve accomplished more. Make a to-do list and slowly go through the items on your list or write down all of your plans on a calendar. These little activities can help you get out of your crisis and feel more productive.

Desks are one of the most easily messy items in a household, especially if you work from home. If you find yourself hesitating, get it organized. Clean and dispose of all of your coffee mugs, organize your pens, stow away extra notebooks, and so on. Changing the position of your desk can also work, revitalizing your workspace, and perhaps giving you a better overview.
Clean your email

Another simple and pointless task that you can do is clean up your email. Organize them according to their purpose and delete all junk. Logging off websites you don’t visit and business deals that don’t interest you is also a good use of your time, giving you something to do and a feeling of being all right with your life. You have to start somewhere.
