Antuanette Gomez was a holistic nutritionist at a chronic pain clinic in 2015 when she learned how often her patients were using cannabis for pain relief.

“It wasn’t until I started working in medicine that I understood that cannabis could be a great alternative to alleviating sexual health ailments for the best possible sexual experience,” said Gomez. “I knew cannabis lube was great for relieving discomfort in the bedroom, but it wasn’t until I met patients diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOC that I took starting a medical cannabis company seriously.”

Pleasure Peaks is designed to improve sexual health through research into cannabinoid therapies for women with fibroids and endometriosis through the company’s Pleasure Labs initiative. The tests are carried out by doctors worldwide in sex medicine and cannabinoid research.

Pleasure Peaks also offers affordable sexual health products that range from infused suppositories to infused lubricants. It has a diverse mix of products as each person has a unique sexual barrier and interests.

The company has also created an inclusive culture of inviting conversation from every corner by hosting online virtual community fun classes, a podcast, and global tantric cannabis couple retreats.

“Women make up as much market share as men and personally I would like to see more women at all levels in the business of the cannabis industry,” said Gomez. “It is important that we sit at the table to discuss topics and issues that are important to female consumers.”

By the end of next year, Gomez intends to expand the product range of its brand internationally to Europe and South America. It is currently with US retailers with plans to enter the Canadian market by January.

In addition to her daily work at Pleasure Peaks, Gomez also works as a consultant for the Green Rush program, which supports cannabis-centric startups with strategic market launches.
