The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
While many of us grew up watching The Legend of Zelda series, this game pays homage to Ocarina Of Time. Exploring areas once visited by the mysterious stranger in green is a fun pastime. The area contains various new powers and Pokémon, with each level playable during the day or night. The Pokémon behave differently at different times and interact with the environment and the player. It’s the perfect couch-lock game with no risk and plenty of time to grind. Plus, you can easily repack this bowl between levels and take your time.

Terraria is a sandbox game that creates the world. Both super laid back and an intense thinker, the nice thing about this game is how much control you have over everything. There is something for everyone from building a simple house in a village to channeling your creativity to creating giant works of art. You can sharpen new gear or just attack anything in sight for fun. Are you feeling adventurous? Summon and farm bosses for fun or explore the deep corners of the underworld.

Outriders is a fast-paced first person shooter packaged as a co-op role-playing game for 1-3 players with an intense and dark storyline. It’s not exactly something to play with when your mind is off, you need your reflexes to make sure you can turn off all of these altered ones. But you can repeat areas if you run into problems and need to farm for upgrades. The story has a Mass Effect feel to it, and the powers are a fun little twist on a familiar idea. The deeper you go into the planet, the more intense the plot becomes as you try to unravel the planet’s secrets. Whenever you think you know what is going on, the ground is changing and you have no idea what is next.
