3 tricks to get edibles up and running faster
It’s an edible crapshoot. You never really know if you’ve consumed enough of them because their effects won’t show until you’ve waited at least an hour after consuming them. This often leads to the common scenario of inhaling an entire batch of delicious pot brownies only to spend the rest of the day rocking back and forth.
Unlike other forms of cannabis that will get you high in an hour, edibles require patience, timing, and the right dosage, which is a lot to be expected of someone who has never had any experience with them.
Many people keep themselves from enjoying the benefits of infused food products because of the long wait time and their unpredictability. While these challenges are adaptable and manageable, there are a few ways you can influence food faster. Here are some options worth considering.

One of the most interesting developments in the cannabis industry is fast-acting edibles designed to bypass the wait. Known as “fast delivery,” these edibles are developed by companies that claim you will feel their effects within 15 to 20 minutes.

In a 2017 interview with Forbes, Peter Barsoom, the founder of the cannabis company in 1906, stated that his company began making edibles with fast delivery, thinking of people who had less than six hours to wait for their edibles, also known as everyone who does not eat anything at the weekend. This new formula enables foods to “bypass the stomach and get to the small intestine faster” through a process known as proprietary lipid microencapsulation.
Sublingual edibles

One trick that savvy consumers can try is to buy meltable edibles – like chocolate or mints – and then place them under their tongue. Rather than waiting for the edible to find its way through the digestive tract, this sublingual method allows the THC to be quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, much like a tincture or oil, which are among the fastest ways to absorb THC.
Increase metabolism

Harder to chop, but just as important is the speed of your metabolism. Although it won’t be possible to increase it in a short period of time, in the long run you can work to speed up your metabolism by consuming enough calories, drinking water, exercising, and getting lots of sleep, which is likely to result got in a healthier mind and body.

Edibles are associated with many benefits, and not just because you stop using smoke and steam. Edible highs are powerful and can be fun, especially when people learn to manage them. However, if you’ve never tried them, don’t be intimidated by the novelty of the edibles. To see for yourself how they work and whether they suit you, all you have to do is experiment.
