What are your top cannabis goals in 2022?

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. The main reason I don’t do them is because I’m constantly refining myself, challenging my mind and body, and pushing myself to new levels of commitment. A New Year’s resolution is for someone who practices wishful thinking and then feels guilty when they don’t get their wishes.

I develop a plan and execute it, and sometimes when I realize I “wanted” something but didn’t do anything to get it; was something I didn’t really want anyway. However, I have some goals that I want to achieve this year and improve on some that I achieved last year.

In today’s article, I’m going to talk about some goals I’m going to achieve in 2022 to be the best version of myself I can be.

Smoking weed at set times

As the holidays are coming to an end and the new year is in full swing, I would like to be a little more disciplined with my consumption. This means I only smoke at certain times of the day (mainly at night to help with relaxation) or during certain brainstorming sessions.

I, too, will practice abstinence from time to time to explore my relationship with cannabis more closely. You never really know how you are interacting with a substance until you remove it from your system and see how you react.

This year I want to stay abstinent at least four times. I plan to do one at every change of season for a period of at least seven days. Maybe I can take a 21 day break in the summer.

I want to maximize my benefit from using cannabis, and I think the best way to do that is to create specific “conditions” for when I can and can’t smoke.

For example, if I have a lot of shit to do in the morning, I wouldn’t smoke until I’ve completed most of the things on my to-do list.

Grow 3-4 plants

Last year I wasn’t able to grow as much weed as I wanted but this year I will be cutting out at least twice but I plan on building another chamber so I can force bloom and create crop cycles. If all goes well, I would like to cut out 6 plants every 3-4 months to be able to fully cover my own consumption and that of my partner.

Grow some mushrooms

I like to microdose, but when it comes to LSD, you never know what you might be buying on the street. Unfortunately, due to the whole “illegality” of it all, we don’t have a regulated marketplace. Therefore, I believe psilocybin would be one of the safest and most consistent ways to microdose. The spores are completely legal and the cultivation methods are very simple. I just need a few tools and I can start growing my mushrooms. I would also be able to test a theory I have about growing shrooms with weed by sending the CO2 produced by the shrooms into the flowering room of the cannabis to create bigger buds.

Nonetheless, this year I’m going to start figuring out how to properly macro and micro dose my own mushroom grow.

Extract some DMT

Similar to microdosing psilocybin, I want to extract some DMT for a few macro doses. I’ve taken DMT in various forms, but smoking still eludes me. The process of making DMT is not too difficult and I have a friend who knows how to do it all. Eventually I will turn to him to make my own.

I do not intend to smoke DMT often, but rather use it on specific occasions for spiritual and psychological exploration. I’ll report on that later this year.

Create my own variety

I have a bunch of “no name” seeds. I intend to grow a few of them to see their properties and then mix them with another strain to create a new one. I’ve already successfully sexed two Gorilla Glue plants to create seeds, but I think fusing two separate strains will have an interesting effect. It will also most likely send me down the “make my own strain” rabbit hole – so chances are I’ll start delving deeper into cannabis genetics as well.

Get a good vaporizer

One of my favorite vaporizers of all time has to be the Pax. I have an old one that is starting to let me down and one of my goals this year is to get the latest updated one. The good thing about these devices is that they come with lifetime warranties, and if you’ve never used a portable dry flower vaporizer like the Pax – it’s a great feeling to be able to pack a bowl and have some AVB to put into edibles to infuse or to smoke as an anti-anxiety cigarette.

Publish my weed book

I wrote a book a few years ago that is now only available in manuscript. It’s called Marijuana Apologetics and talks about the main arguments used to keep the ban alive. In addition, it details the various ideas that contradict the assumptions of the ban and lays out how the entire policy was based on deceptive tactics. This year I thought I’d edit and publish it so it’s available.

The final result

I don’t believe in just wishing things to happen, I do them. My resolutions aren’t just reserved for the new year, I’m constantly updating them and moving towards my goals. This year is no different and that’s why I’ve set my goals and walk towards them every day.
