I don’t know about you, but I’m a person who likes to have some spice in my life. One of my favorite hot sauces is the Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce. The spicy-fruity nature of this sauce can liven up many dishes including buffalo wings, pizza, hamburgers, etc.

Now imagine being able to infuse all of these good qualities with cannabis. You get the spice, you get the flavor, and you get the stoned, all rolled up in an amazingly potent sauce.

Does that sound like something you would try?

Read to the end to learn how to make your own cannabis honey-infused mango habanero BBQ sauce!

First – let’s make the cannabis honey!

Making cannabis-infused honey is actually very simple. All you need is some local organic honey, 14-28 grams of cannabis, a little water and some time.

First, you should start by decarboxylating the cannabis. You can do this by preheating your oven to around 120°C (220-240°F). You can then place the crushed and scattered cannabis on an oven-ready tray.

Place the cannabis in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. Take out and let cool. Personally, I like to lay some aluminum foil loosely over the cannabis to ensure as much of the evaporating essential oils are trapped as possible.

You could also use a glass and some hot water, but this technique is a bit more complex, so let’s just abandon the traditional decarb method.

Once you have charred the weed you should put between 3 and 5 cups of honey in a saucepan on the stove, you can add some distilled water to the mixture. No more than 3-4 tablespoons.

Slowly heat the honey and then mix the de-capped cannabis into the mixture. Stir, cover and cook slowly for the next 30-45 minutes. Be sure to stir every now and then.

Once you’re done, you’re going to want to run it through some sort of filter. This could be something like cheesecloth or other types of filters you might have. Simply filter out all of the plant matter, then pour the contents into their own jar.

Now you have a strong honey infusion ready for the next step.

Let’s Make Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce!

To achieve this, you should get some;

  • 2 cups fresh diced mango

  • 4 seedless habanero peppers

  • ½ cup cannabis-infused honey

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon turmeric

  • 1 tablespoon sea salt

  • Garlic 4 cloves

  • Small onion diced

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • salt and pepper to taste

Now that you have all the ingredients. You should get a big pot and fire up the stove. Start by sautéing the habanero and onions over medium-high heat until tender. Then you can start adding the remaining ingredients one by one.

Start with the habanero and onion, garlic – then add the mangoes. Let simmer a little, then add the honey and the remaining spices. Reduce the heat to as low as possible and stir for a good 10-15 minutes.

Once you see it come to a simmer, put all the liquid in a blender and puree until it becomes a thick sauce. You can dilute it by adding some water.

Transfer all of this into his one-of-a-kind glass and whip it up whenever you need a little infused goodness for your meal.

What does it mix well with?

I personally can’t get enough of that. You can add this to burgers, pork, fish, in salads, on your ribs… wherever you really want it, it goes with everything pretty effortlessly.

Just be warned about overeating. The Honey recipe is pretty hardcore, and if you binge and wolf down a pound of honey-infused mango BBQ ribs, you might find yourself tripping up some serious balls.

The lucky thing about the mango is that it;

  1. Increases myrcene – this is said to make you taller.

  2. The spice activates the nervous system – you will feel the effect immediately

  3. Adrenaline High – after burning a bit you will get an adrenaline high that blends well with the cannabis high

Just remember to start slow and then work your way up. This is a great way to add some flavor and spice to your food while giving you a high AF. Maybe at the next BBQ you’ll bring your “special sauce” that will make everyone love you.

Give it a try, let me know how it goes!
