Regarding non-violent marijuana allegations, Warren said she would like records to be cleared and incarcerated non-violent prisoners of cannabis released. She stressed the importance of deletion.

“They have better chances of getting a job, they have a better chance of promotion, they can apply for scholarships that they would otherwise be denied. In other words, what is your best resource as a nation? It’s your people, ”Warren said. “These people, who should be part of our economy, part of our society.”

She added that marijuana enforcement has disproportionately affected people of color. “It’s time we recognized that and just admitted our mistake,” said Warren.
