Raw Garden Refined Live Resin Review

I’ve been writing about weed for a living since 2017, which means I got into the industry at just the right time to take an encyclopedic crash course in dabbing. Five years later, I’m still primarily a flower type. But I kept coming back to concentrates throughout the 2010s because I knew which brands to rely on for pure, high quality products. Raw Garden is the brand name that, at least in my eyes, is synonymous with the ideal dab.

“The dab market is by far the wildest corner of the weed world. From high-tech devices to crystalline extracts, innovation is advancing at a breakneck pace, producing futuristic products and new forms of concentrates at warp speed, ”said Lindsay MaHarry of Weedmaps. Even in 2021, when advances in vape and e-rig technology have arguably made the “perfect dab” more accessible than ever, the ever-evolving concentrate market can be overwhelming for newcomers – especially if you’re outside of the inner SoCal weed scene exist.

It doesn’t help that both the legitimate technological advances in dab equipment and the proliferation of cheap imitators have been overwhelming over the past decade. And whether you’re new to dabbing or a seasoned veteran of the dab revolution, securing a trustworthy, high-quality concentrate is synonymous with the experience dabbers swear by.

For this review, we’re going to try Raw Garden’s Refined Live Resin Diamonds, Refined Live Resin Crushed Diamonds, and Refined Live Resin Vape Cartridge + Battery.

First impressions

The first thing that sets Raw Garden apart from its contemporaries is the price. Its concentrates usually cost significantly less than other brands with comparable products and quality. Anytime you can get a gram of top-notch sauce for around $ 30 in LA, it’s worth the praise.

The packaging is clean and inviting at the same time. It’s a no-frills-just-sauce approach that suits the Raw Garden experience. Each box also includes a sticker with the appropriate strain information, THC content, batch number and QR lab result clearly displayed.

While I don’t do this as often as I should, I actually scanned the QR code for each product on my phone and all of the lab results were easy to find online with clear formatting.

Lime Mojito Refined Live Resin Diamonds

taste

That heavy, citrus-terpene smell hit just right when I twisted the cap off my Gram Live Resin Diamonds. I’ve never been exposed to a Raw Garden concentrate in my life that wasn’t the best shit I’ve ever smelled. Just a sour, citrus-like smell, every damn time. When I finally got down to dabbing, the pure lemon-lime-citrus flavor of the Lime Mojito strain came through strongly on the exhale.

effectiveness

As I mentioned above, I’m mostly a flower type these days. So when I do a dab, I still dust off my old flashlight and bang like it was 2018. It had been a minute since my last dab, but loading the tip of my dab tool with cheeky sticky crystalline diamonds, dropping it into my banger and watching it bubble in sweet, silky vapor was a truly enjoyable experience like riding a bike.

The vapor itself came even smoother and cooler than I expected – a few memories of accidentally lighting a blob and coughing up a lung had just crossed my mind – and the effects were palpable and immediate.

experience

I was pretty well settled into an evening at home taking a spin with these diamonds. After about five minutes, I was totally enveloped in the sweet, slow song of concentrated moisture. If you are a regular or heavy user, you sometimes feel that even the most potent flower highs are a long way from the emotional, insightful, pseudo-psychedelic experiences you may have had as a newbie – or even after a long T- Break . The heavy stoner metal buzz of this live resin reminded me that sometimes nothing beats the unique precision and reliability of a dab high.

Key Lime Cookies Crushed Diamonds

taste

I’m not particularly adept at distinguishing tastes and aromas between concentrate types, but I was particularly impressed with the mix of citrus goodness and tangy undertones of my Gram Key Lime Cookies Crushed Diamonds.

effectiveness

I decided to take advantage of the dry, crumbly texture and “scoopability” of the crushed diamond to lace a joint and increase the potency of my preferred method of consumption. These diamonds can also be dabbed like the regular Refined Live Resin Diamonds and are likely to produce a similar effect when evaporated.

experience

With a joint of medium strength sun-grown THC bud and a modest sprinkle of crushed diamonds, I went outside for a walk. While I was casually puffing, I was deliberately waiting to feel something other than my usual hazy, carefree high. After about five minutes it was there – a little late, then ubiquitous.

The summit slowly crept up to me and the clear, heavy euphoria lasted longer than my usual flower high. The rest of the night I was floating in the wind.

Pomello Jello Refined Live Resin Cartridge and Pen

taste

Even in the shape of a vape cart, the taste of Raw Garden’s Pomello Jello Refined Live Resin is exceptional. I have never found that vape cart flavors are particularly distinguishable, except that quality is generally characterized by being good or bad in general. Nevertheless, I found the taste of my sativa hybrid cart to be particularly sweet and dense, with comparable and just as pleasant spicy notes as that of the crushed diamonds.

effectiveness

I’m not exactly the vape cart type these days, but like everyone else, I’m not immune to the convenience and inherent discretion of the product – especially when I’m in need. It was a relief to have a car and battery on hand on a recent trip to see my mother where supplies were inevitably limited. In the form of a vape cart, Raw Gardens Refined Live Resin provided a pretty ideal THC groove to calm me down until late in the evening for some peace and quiet before falling asleep. For me it took about four or five vigorous hits to get the feeling I had achieved the full effect.

experience

When everyone else had gone to bed with my mother, I made myself comfortable next to a warm, inviting lamp in the living room with an old paperback book that I picked up from a local bookstore that day. As I sat and read, I casually pulled out of the steam here and there, and the high set in slowly, first just behind my forehead, then as a slight tingling sensation in my extremities. About my fourth hit, the full extent of the high came like the slow build of an orchestra straightening up, reasonably thick and thoroughly mood lifting with just a touch of subtle calming.

Bottom line

The entire Raw Garden experience, from purchase to unpacking to use, is invariably enticing. When you want to feel what those who swear by the blob rave about, you really can’t do better than Raw Garden. Clear, tangy flavors, a cool inhale, and a clean, exceptional, powerful head high that lasts – these are all essential elements of a good dab, and they are all in the brand’s affordable Refined Live Resin line.

In short, look at my two cents like I’m the “Dos Equis” type of concentrate – I don’t always dab, but when I do, I prefer Raw Garden. Stay small my friends.
