Jerome Baker Designs launches into the crypto space

Soon you can be the proud owner of unique digital assets with legendary glass art to match. Award-winning one-of-a-kind functional glass art provider, Jerome Baker Designs (JBD), will partner with FDCTech, Inc. to create unique digital works of art and corresponding physical assets on the Ethereum blockchain.

FDC (OTCQB: FDCT) will provide the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) platform for minting and issuing NFTs. Collectors can purchase drops of Jerome Baker Designs through online silent auctions, global listings, and open editions. The platform should be operational at the beginning of the first quarter and end on March 31, 2022.

Founder and President of Jerome Baker Designs Jason Harris – the artist behind unique and rare luxury pieces such as bongs, bubblers and pipes – will develop original physical and digital works for the project. Harris explained his pivot in crypto and why.

“The blockchain industry has already changed the world with Bitcoin alone, which I have been accepting for bubblers and bongs since 2016,” Harris told High Times. “At JBD, we’ve been researching NFTs since the term NFTs came about. Together with many other companies, we have investigated the use of non-fungible token technologies for the supply chain. “

Original pieces by Jerome Baker Designs have been adapted for global artists such as Santana, Snoop Dogg, George Clooney, George Clinton, 311, Sublime / Skunk Records, Widespread Panic, Grateful Dead, Rita Marley, DMB, Phish, Slayer and DRI.

“As an artist, I couldn’t be more excited about applying this technology to art,” said Baker. “The creative world has just changed and, more than ever, artists will have the opportunity to take control of their art and their lives. We are now working on initiatives aiming to lead the way in the NFT universe in general with unique pieces tied to an NFT. We believe that this leads there: into the new phygital world, where the physical and the digital meet. “

“We are very pleased that Jerome Baker Designs has entered the NFT space with FDC. It’s exciting to work with such an established iconic brand that has made modern artistic glass and pipe making a coveted collector’s art, ”said Imran Firoz, Founder of FDC, CFO and NFT Team Leader. “Our company and Jerome Baker Designs are committed to creating authentic digital and physical artwork to display the unique and rare work of Jason Harris on the NFT platform, where collectors can seamlessly buy, sell and store digital art and collectibles. “

Jerome Baker Designs

Jerome Baker Designs was founded after founder Jason Harris completed an apprenticeship with Bob Snodgrass, the “Godfather of artistic tempered glass” and founder of the modern pipe industry. Snodgrass had been selling brightly colored glass pipes at Grateful Dead shows across the country – which contributed significantly to the popularity of glass in the cannabis world.

Harris followed in Snodgrass’ footsteps and mastered the fine art of glass blowing.

An early concept behind the project.

Jerome Baker Designs was recently named one of the Top Ten Glass Blowers in the United States by the Cannabis News Update. Jerome Baker Designs won the 2018 High Times Cannabis Cup for “Best Glass” in Sonoma County and was runner-up in the “Best Glass” category at the Sacramento 2018 High Times Cannabis Cup.

In September 2020, JBD and Jason Harris were featured in the High Times Annual Art Issue along with Tommy Chong and Shea McAdams from seedleSs Clothing. In 2003, Harris was one of approximately 50 people arrested by federal agents during the George W. Bush administration amid Operation Pipe Dreams. It showed that even glass pipe sellers are not protected from criminal charges.

“At JBD, we passionately believe in the future of a blockchain-crypto-driven digital art world and the ultimate democratization and dissemination of authentic and protected digital assets. We are excited to partner with FDC because they have a proven track record in building successful custom trading technologies, ”said Harris.
