7 cannabis brands and organizations that support veterans

Many military veterans are denied access to medical cannabis because it is still illegal at the federal level. And while there are some promising studies and personal anecdotes about the positive effects of cannabis on PTSD and other physical and mental health symptoms, in many places cannabis is still surrounded by negativity. This means that veterans without safe or legal access to the facility can be prosecuted for trying to improve their health.

To counter the ingrained stigma of medical cannabis use, many veteran-led organizations are campaigning for cannabis reform that supports free access to cannabis for veterans.

Here are seven cannabis brands and organizations that support veterans and call for change.

Veterans for Holistic Alternatives (VAHA)

Veterans Alliance for Holistic Alternatives was founded by veteran Gary Hess and is an organization that promotes free access to medical cannabis for veterans. VAHA aims to empower veterans and provide resources for access to medical cannabis through educational work, volunteer support, and political reform.
