You will get more pleasure if you explore with an exalted spirit.

California Road Trip Guide

Here’s a carefully curated list of three different road trips stoners could take to enjoy the stunningly beautiful views of Cali’s cities. The guide also highlights some picture-worthy places to stop to enjoy the wonders of edibles, vaporizers, gummies, edibles, or flowers.

Before you embark on this journey, head to your local cannabis dispensary to get your favorite cannabis treats. If you have short term time you can keep some money as you would see some dispensaries where you can buy your favorite strains. It’s time for a grassy adventure.

Through California’s Pacific Coast Highway

This is a 656 mile journey that begins in Southern California and ends in downtown Mendocino County. The iconic state road is an iconic route. It has a large number of stops along the coast where you can set your eyes on an inspiring landscape while feasting on some delicious strains.

This trip should not be rushed into four or five days. For the most fun and to experience the lifestyle of Californians in these areas, allow at least 10 days. Driving from Dana Point to the region near Legget you will be exposed to many natural and architectural views. The most striking aspect of this road trip is the view of the majestic Pacific Ocean. A significant part of this journey is through the coast. There are some wooded parts near Big Sur that you can enjoy. If you go north you will round some mountains. You might even see wildlife like elephants, zebras and seals as you approach San Simeon.

The Desert Ride

This shorter drive begins in San Diego and ends in Joshua Tree National Park. There are several wonderful spots along this route, most of which are unobtrusive when in a hurry to get to a destination.

Many people often fail to appreciate the scenic views along this property because all their attention is focused on getting to Joshua Tree National Park. While Joshua Tree Park is an exciting place, it doesn’t hurt to check out the different rock types, meadows, and artwork along the route. You can complete this 290-mile journey in a week. And yes, the journey will be worth these seven days of your life.

Once in San Diego, press the button on your map as you begin to head into the Northeast region by taking Highway 163 to Highway 78. As the name suggests, the desert drive heads toward Ansa-Borrego Desert State Park. It is best to stop here and enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you are lucky enough to visit this park in spring, you will witness the wildflowers in bloom. Right at the entrance of the park there is a 40 meter high prehistoric animal sculpture that you can photograph. The sculptures were created by the artist Ricardo Breceda.

Another part of the trip includes the Palm Canyon Drive towards the Salton Sea. Other stops include the abandoned Slab City Naval Base, Santa Rosa, and the San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. The essential part of this ride is that there are pit stops where you can enjoy a hit or two of your favorite strains.

All of the sights highlighted here are worth the hype. For a few years, the Salton Sea (one of the largest inland seas in the world) would dry up completely. Now is the best time to enjoy this beauty. On the other hand, the Slab City is now a deserted area where some go to enjoy a hit or more.

Don’t forget to check out Palm Springs while you’re on Highway 111. You might even see some celebrities in the tree park.

The Rim of the World Scenic Byway

Not everyone can have enough time for very long trips, which is why this route is included in this list.

This 117-mile road trip begins at Cajon Pass and ends in the Big Bear area. Travelers have the choice to leave their vehicles behind and take part in hikes in the rocky and mountainous regions of the state. You can also horseback ride along the cliffs and peaks of the San Bernadino mountains. This journey can take three to five days. Every day you can explore the different lakes, mountain passes and various hikes.

Enjoy the ride

If you are in the mood to visit California or take a cannabis tourism road trip in the state, allow plenty of time to enjoy the various stops you will be making. Enjoy the views of the mountains, the lakes and the sea coasts. Who knows, you might even meet another group traveling the same route as you – the more, the merrier. The best time to travel is in summer or spring. Have fun!
